When the parents are away...I gets to play!!! Hooo-ray!
Here's a little sampling of what I've been up to at school recently:
7/21/09
Lilianna played with wooden blocks. She stacked them with help from Asher. Lilianna asked techer to read to her a book--"Barn Yard Dance." Lilianna did Q-tip art and she played in the kitchen area with Tessa, Sophia, and Lilli.
7/22/09
Lilianna picked up a menu and pointed at a picture of ice cream drizzled with hot fudge and she said, "Dripping!" Then she showed it to teacher. Then she saw a picture of fire and she said, "Fire!" and then, "Hot!" Later, she gathered the baby mattresses and laid the baby doll down and patted its back and said, "Nap time." She also painted with a paint brush. She started with the color pink and she said, "Pink!" and then picked blue and painted over the pink. When she finished, she said, "Daddy!" and jumped up, picking up her picture and was going to put in on the counter.
7/31/09
Lilianna made a pretty picture from Q-tips and glitter. She took her time dotting her paper with the Q-tip and paint. She also did a special art project with a real fish. We did fish stamping and she painted the fish, then put her fish on the paper and stamped it and made a cool fish print.
8/5/09
Lilianna played on the loft with Andrew jumping and dancing, singing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." Lilianna enjoyed herself during water play. She splashed in the pool and filled buckets with water. For lunch she ate cous cous, chicken curry, salad and veggies.
8/13/09
Lilianna had fun playing with the cell phone. Teacher asked, "Who are you calling?" Lilianna said, "Mommy." Lilianna sang "Where is Thumbkin?" and "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"--which she loves to sing. Lilianna had fun making and playing with playdough. She helped teacher pour flour into a bowl.
8/20/09
Lilianna picked out a story, "Mr. Sun and Mr. Sea" to be read to her while she carried her Barney book. Lilianna and Tessa played in the kitchen area. She got a cup and went to the sink and said, "I'm getting some agua." She also gathered all the food in the kitchen sink.
